Ce qui flotte
Au fond, la lumière ne tombe plus : elle naît.

A contemplative, interactive dive: a mauve jellyfish, modeled on Pelagia noctiluca, is made of about 240,000 particles. It sinks with you from the sunlit surface, through the twilight zone, to 1,400 meters, where the only light left is the light it makes itself.
Drag to swim around the jellyfish, scroll or pinch to come closer. Moving through the water stirs a current; in the dark, plankton sparkles where you pass. Hold still on the jellyfish to touch it: it flashes blue and draws in its tentacles.
Keyboard: arrow keys to turn, plus and minus to zoom, Home to recenter, Space to touch. Escape restores the interface.
